My inspiration to play the bagpipes stems from my grandfather, a Queen's Own Cameron Highlander, and my Irish family roots.
 
As a member of both a military and a competing civilian pipe band, I have performed at various gatherings throughout the UK and overseas.
 
The highlight of my piping career to date has been to perform at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, playing before representatives of the royal family and a global TV audience of 100 million people. Other events I have performed at include the Kremlin Zoria Moscow Military Tattoo on Red Square, and the St Patrick’s Day parade on 5th Avenue in New York.
